Russian blue chips

Moscow Exchange (ОАО Московская Биржа) is the largest exchange group in Russia. Apart from trading equities and money markets, MOEX also operates Russia’s Central Securities Depository and the country’s largest clearing service provider. The stock exchange was funded in 2011. MOEX operates trading markets in equities, bonds, derivatives, FX, money markets and precious metals.

The CEO of Moscow Exchange is Alexander Afanasiev.

Moscow Exchange Blue Chip Index (ticker: RTSSTD)

Blue Chip Index is an indicator of the market of the most liquid stocks of Russian companies. The index was launched on April 23, 2009 with a base level of 6,285.76. MOEX Blue Chip index is calculated on the basis of the stocks of the 15 most liquid and capitalized issues of Russian stock market. The value is denominated in rubles.

MICEX 10 Index

MICEX 10 Index is an unweighted price index that constitues of the ten most liquid Russian stocks. All of them have to be listed on MICEX-RTS.
